Michelle Lyons, DIUS community manager for Innovation, recently tweeted about a new competition being held by the Ministry Of Justice’s Democratic Engagement Branch. The competition looks closely modelled on the show us a better way competition and the Ministry will be working with the Power of Information task force and the Department of Innovation Universities and Skills.
As Shane points out though – you don’t actually ‘win’ a prize, it’s an investment and one that has, in the past, required funding to be matched by other agencies. Still, if you’re able to forge a partnership between departments and other agencies I’d suggest that’s an innovation in itself.
This isn’t the first innovative project coming out of the Democratic Engagement Branch at MoJ – Digital Dialogues being a key project of note, and a handy reference for anyone working in social media.
